Addie has become a full-fledged two year old, with a very strong sense of what she wants. Problematically, she often wants the impossible - such as wearing two pairs of pjs at the same time or the lights being on and off at the same time. It seems she wants to assert her ability to decide, without having a full understanding that some things cannot coexist in the same instance.
In the particular case of these photos, it wasn't worth a fight -- she could have two cups of water at the same time. However, I just had to laugh at the intensity of this request, as these photos reveal. She took turns drinking from each cup and even found coasters for each. (She's very into coasters!)
Also note the two hair clips. Same story...
