Dying Easter Eggs

We had a ton of fun dying Easter eggs the Saturday before Easter. This was Addie's first adventure dying eggs. She was a natural!


One interesting lesson. We normally buy our eggs from the farmer's market, which are all brown eggs. We mistakenly thought brown eggs wouldn't dye properly, so we went to the grocery store and bought white ones. For experiment sake, we dyed one brown egg. As it turns out, the brown egg produced the prettiest egg of the baker's dozen. We've learned our lesson. Brown eggs make for more vivid colored eggs, and, at least from the family farm from whom we buy our eggs, taste a whole lot yummier!
