Addie went to the Indianapolis Zoo today for the first time today. She loved it. Addie is quite the talker these days and parrots back tons of words. Today she said "zoo", "fish" (this was already in her vocab list), "shark" and "penguin" (well, her form of "penguin"). She also said "bye bye polar bear" which I totally adored. She also did a lot of squealing, kicking and arm waving. No question that Addie loves animals.
Getting ready for an afternoon outside... she actually tolerated the sunglasses for a few minutes.
Seals and sea lions
Checking out the sting rays with Daddy.
Sharks! This was new since I had last been to the zoo. You can "pet" sharks. Addie loved getting so close to them, and I did touch one. Addie kept saying "shark, shark" and clapping. It's a great exhibit.
The petting zoo... Addie was a little intimidated by the goats...
Chickens, safely behind the fence, are much less scary. Addie has said "chicken" in the past and really enjoyed watching these animals in person.
Giraffes!
After seeing the giraffes, Addie grabbed her blankie and sat down... apparently time for nap, regardless of the location. Time to go home. We will definitely be back again soon to thrill our young animal lover.
