We visited Columbian Park in Lafayette on Saturday, prior to the Jones family gathering. This was a much beloved park by both Adam and me when we were growing up in Lafayette. I, in particular, spent a lot of time here as kid in summer theater. It was remarkable to visit now. Everything is smaller and the park has been completely redone. There is a very nice playground and zoo. But, the highlight for Addie was riding the train, or "Thomas" as she prefers. Above and below, Adam and Addie riding the train.
Checking out the turtle and monarch at the zoo. There were live versions of both as well. Addie particularly loved the butterfly exhibit.
