Mommy's First Mother's Day

Dear Adeline:

Mother's Day was this past weekend, and it was Mommy's very first one.  You had some great ideas, and we kept them from Mommy until that morning.

We started out the morning with making Mommy breakfast in bed.  She had eggs, toast, jam, grapefruit and oatmeal.  You also gave her a pretty flower.

Then we gave Mommy her card.  You made it yourself by having me make a sign and then you held it.  I have to say, you were a very cooperative model! (You only tried to eat your sign once)

After breakfast you put on your special Mother's Day shirt and sun hat and we took some pictures of you outside in the back yard.

After that, you put on your pretty blue dress and brown pants.  Mommy held you for a while and we took some pictures.

Then it was off to the art museum.  Mommy loves to walk through the pretty gardens.  You were very good and let us take lots of pictures with you. (there seems to be a pattern emerging!)

After the art museum we went out to Grammi's house to surprise her for Mother's Day.  (Gammie and NoNo were in California).  We had a big delicious pork chop meal made by Uncle Jon and Karla (although apparently Mommy thinks you're "too young" to eat pork chops...soon baby girl, soon).

We were all pretty tired by the end of the day, but I think Mommy had a good time.

Love,

Dad
